The indie dyers contributing to this Advent Calendar are Sea Turtle Fibre Arts, Boss Lady Yarn Co, Allison Barnes Yarn, Haven Fibre Arts, Gingersnap, and Fibre Goddess! They have each dyed up a mini to go in this calendar and would these would make a kick ass pair of Christmas Sock by Indie Dyers from Alberta ❤️ I will also be dyeing up 6 coordinating semi solid minis to help you mix and match.

Christmas Advent Calendars will be Available Nov 1 @ Noon MST

If we’re being honest here, originally I wasn’t going to do a Christmas Advent Calendar 😂 I have never been particularly interested in advent calendars by any 1 Dyer and I am not interested in having 24 mini skeins for a Calendar. So I shy’d away from it. Although about a week before the Calgary Fibre Shindig I started thinking about what I wanted and didn’t want in an Advent Calendar. This was still in its infancy stages and I knew I didn’t want 24 mini skeins, I knew I didn’t want it all being yarn (bc my stash is CRAZY!!), I didn’t want it all Notions, and it would be nice to have a couple full skeins for projects. Then synchronicity happened. I had a few customers ask if I was doing an Advent Calendar! Then the planning commenced! I contacted 6 Indie Dyers to see if they would be interested in dyeing up some minis for the Calendar and every single one said yes! Then I figured out a palette that wasn’t traditional Christmas and everything came together!

I’ve been home for a few days after the Calgary Shindig and I’ve been decompressing a bit! It’s been a busy year with lots of growth for my little home business 😄 So much so that I decided that the Shindig was the last Market I’ll be doing this year. I’ll be relaxing a bit and spending some quality time with my kiddos until market season next year. Don’t get me wrong, there will still be dyeing/ sewing and creating  😉 but new product won’t be introduced until next year, most likely!

My Last Market of the Year!

It’s just a couple days until the Calgary Fibre Shindig! I’ve decided that it’s going to be my last Market of the year ❤️ This has been a crazy busy year of growth for my business and I’m looking forward to some relaxing family time after the Shindig! 

If you haven’t been to the Calgary Fibre Shindig before it’s an awesome event to check out! They have a wide variety of vendors of all things of the Fibre Arts! It’s always a crazy busy market, so plan to arrive early!!  

I’ll be bringing all my inventory, which includes over 200 skeins of yarn. I’ll have Sweater quantities in all my bases ❤️ Arrive early to snag enough for a sweater, if that’s what your looking for! Quantities for colorways and bases vary anywhere from 1-12 skeins per colorway! I’ve loaded up a full Preview in the Prairie Dye Studio Facebook Group so you can plan your shopping 😉
