My workspace for the weekend...

This was my workspace for the whole weekend:

I was able to get approximately 150 Snagless Stitch Marker Sets completed over 3 days. It involved a lot of help from my husband and some cartoons for my toddler πŸ˜‰

My yarn order should be in today so I'll be busy dyeing up a storm the next couple days. I have 30 skeins to dye up land I feel that it's totally attainable! I'll just get a couple pots going at a time and I'm sure it will pretty much dye themselves πŸ˜‚

Be sure to come and visit me and KnittyPie at the Calgary Fibre Shindig this Saturday!! We'll be the table with the cute babies πŸ˜‰

Dyeing Overload!! 😍

The Fibre Shindig is getting close!! It's 1 week away and I'm in dyeing over load!!

I'm finishing up my fibre dyeing today then I'll be onto dyeing yarn 😍😍 Nothing gets the creative juices flowing than dyeing! Then if I have some time left over I'll be making up some more stitch markers πŸ˜„ I'm going to be loaded!

I'll be sharing a booth with KnittyPie so be sure to stop in and have a peep or gander and some chit chat!

Now back to work for me πŸ˜‰

I ❤️ Dyeing

I got an order of roving in yesterday!! My supplier has been low on my bases so I ordered roving on a whim. Now I've only been dyeing roving for myself previously. With some successful results. So this is my first chance dyeing yarn for my business!

I had a lot of fun trying out some dyeing techniques with roving. Some came out beautifully on the first try and some required a couple additional steps. Overall, I'm happy with how thy dyed up! I just need to be more comfortable with white space. I'm like a colour addict and as soon as I see white space I automatically want to cover itπŸ˜‚

More photos soon πŸ˜„

Shop Update Preview!!

I'm doing a quick drive by posting!!

There will be a shop update tomorrow Tuesday April 5 at 10am MST! I'll be adding some New Lobster Claw Stitch Markers and Hook Stitch Markers πŸ˜€ I love them all and the photos don't do them justice!! There is only 1 set of each and I'm giving fair notice that all my stock will be coming with me to the Calgary Fibre Shindig on April 16th. So if you have your heart set on any set I can't guarantee it will be in the shop after the 16th. I also won't be able to make anymore of these sets until after the Calgary Fibre Shindig but there will be an additional update after. I'll post more info on that at a later date!

Now onto the fun stuff!! Here is what will be loaded into the shop tomorrow πŸ˜€

What on the needles now...

I've been dying to cast on Prairie Sage since I dyed it up! I knew that it would be nearly impossible to reproduce! I was dyeing up something completely different when everything went WRONG and the resulting yarn came out this beautiful sage colour. So being that there were only 4 skeins in this One Of A Kind colorways I was quick to snag myself a skein once Miso Crafty Knits purchased one in the Wild Rose base! Check out her Instagram feed HERE and her Ello Feed HERE!

I casted on a pair of Plain Stockinette Socks using the slip stitch heel I'm so fond of!

Yarn: Prairie Dye Studio MCN Sock in Prairie Sage

So if your curious how Prairie Sage knits up the picture below is a good representation of how it will look!

It's knitting up better than I hoped for! It's a good example of how yarn looks in a skein isn't always how it knits up 😍 Subtle shades of sage greens and shades of mellow Browns! A totally unexpected group of complimentary colours!!

If your interested in snagging a skein for yourself I currently have 2 skeins of Prairie Sage left! 1 in BFL Sock and 1 in Anna's Sock. Check out my Etsy Shop HERE for more info on each sock base πŸ˜„
