Are You Joining the Next Cozy Up Knits KAL?

The ladies of the Cozy Up Knits will be releasing their next design, the Katie Shawl, in the next few weeks! They have shown it on their last couple episodes of their podcast and I was able to get a screenshot of part of it here:

You can see that Sarah (on the right) has her Katie Shawl on 😉 So I’ve been figuring out a few 2 color options for the Katie Shawl! They are made up from instock colorways I have in my Online Shop ❤️❤️

As you can see I  had a hard time deciding on a colorway selection! I finally decided on:

Mostly because that skein of Puerto Vallarta was winking at me from my inventory bins ❤️❤️🌅 It’s the perfect sunset colorway ❤️❤️

FO - My Sister’s Shawl

I’ve been watching the Cozy Up Knits Podcast for about a year and really enjoy it 😄 It’s the right length and love that I can relate to them in many ways ❤️ If your into podcasts you can check out their YouTube channel HERE. 

These ladies have been working on a new design and were doing a Mystery KAL for the release of the My Sister’s Shawl pattern. So I signed up. 

Now, I usually don’t like Mystery KAL’s. I don’t like NOT knowing what I’m knitting. It’s dedicating time and effort into something you don’t know if your going to like in the end! But this shawl is soooooooo gorgeous❤️❤️ and I have no regrets in the end 😍

I used a skein of Gourd on MCN Sock, Indian Paintbrush on MCN Sock and a skein of Tudor Rose on Anna’s Sock. 

This shawl came out exactly how I envisioned and even a bit better! I like how each colorway blends into each other❤️

The pattern was really well written and they have a YouTube mini episode for each part explaining how to do the cast on and each section. So there wasn’t any confusion for me while knitting!

2017 FO 😱

I still can’t believe that I knit and casted off 33 projects in 2017! I had to recount it a couple times. 

In 2017 I knit 8 Baby Sunnyside Sweaters, 13 pairs of socks, 8 Toques and 3 Shawls! That’s crazy! 

Most of the Socks were Christmas Gifts and a good chunk of the toques were to replenish my diminishing Toque supply bc if you have kids, your Toque supply is always diminishing. 

A surprise to me is that I knit 3 Shawls. Anyone who knows me knows that I hardly ever wear Shawls but I like knitting them 😂 I may make it a point to wear more Shawls in 2018 😂

I also need to make it a point to take proper FO photos of my feelings show socks! I knit them up and they have been worn over and over again since I’ve cast them off. 

I guess from this review of my FO’s I’ve learned, I knit more than I think I do 😂

❤️🕊Bird Bags Re-stocked🕊❤️

Funny thing is that I was pretty sure I used up all the Bird fabric last time 😂😂 I decided to get organized and clean up my crafting/knitting/sewing closet and in the process of stacking all the fabric together I found about 1m of each type of bird fabric 😂 

I took it as a sign that I needed to sew up some more bird bags ❤️ 

Currently there are 6 of these Small Bird Bags in my Online Shop ❤️

There are 2 SECONDS Bird Bags for $30 each. They are the same quality as the regular ones but the Prairie Dye Studio Branding Tag is slightly on the bottom. Otherwise they are the same but you get to save $10 per each bag 😉❤️

I have these diamond Bird Bags with a loop handle. There are only a couple of these and each type of bag is listed separately. So you can choose which bird you’d like on the front and back panel ❤️

There’s diamond bird bags with a handle on the back. This is a newer type handle and I’m not sure if I’ll keep doing this type of handle but it works perfectly and doesn’t dangle down 😄

I’ve narrowed it down to these markets just because it doesn’t pay off for me to do multi day markets. My expenses are higher to do multi day markets (that aren’t local to me) and when I add up what my break even point in sales are, it’s a bit shocking at times. I need to compare this to my sales trends and seeing my profit after my break even point sometimes makes the deicision for me 😂  Not to mention that my kids are at the peak of cute and ornery-ness so I don’t like to be away from them for long. 

I’m attending the Hippy Strings Knit All the Things Retreat as a attendee and was asked to bring my goodies that the Hippy String Ladies will be selling in their pop up shop for me 😄 So it’ll be like a mini vacation for me ❤️ It’s so rare I actually get to enjoy an event❤️ Usually I’m in my booth watching everyone else have fun 😂 So I’m really looking forward to this event ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
